Happy Life Animal Hospital - Our Doctor and staff
Dr. Amy Long:
Dr. Long was born and raised in Miami, FL. She started her vet career in Volusia County and decided to stay. Dr. Long has a wonderful family including her fiancé Jon (who does tech support for our practice), her daughter Elayne, and her furkids including 1 dog and 5 cats. In 2006, Dr. Long graduated from St George’s University and did her clinical at Louisiana State University. Dr. Long enjoys general practice with a strong interest in emergency medicine and exotics. Her experience includes general practice for 11 years, emergency medicine for 3 ½ years, and exotic medicine for 7 years. Most of her free time is dedicated to her family and they enjoy anything Disney related, comic conventions, and cosplaying. Dr. Long’s personal ambition is to spend time sharing the world with her daughter and to raise her to be a well-rounded citizen and protector of the Earth.

Masahiro Seki D.V.M: Owner
Dr. Seki was born and raised in Japan. Dr. Seki is the owner of Happy Life Animal Hospital and of the Animal Laser Center, located in Nagoya, Japan. Dr. Seki has a wonderful family with a wife, two children, and 1 guinea pig. Dr. Seki completed his D.V.M. at the Rakuno Gakuen University for Veterinary Medicine. He has had experience in veterinary medicine at animal hospitals in Yokohama and Nagoya, Japan, and experience in small animal surgery at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Seki is board certified in laser surgery from the American Board of Laser Surgery. His professional practice includes small animal laser surgery with CO2 lasers and laser therapy for small animals with Diode lasers. Dr. Seki is a director of education & development in Japan for the American Board of Laser Surgery and is the director of the Japan Laser Veterinary Science Society. He spends most of his free time reading books but also likes meditating, and traveling to various places. His hope is that everyone lives a happy life with animals.
Kailee: Office Manager
Kailee was born and raised in Connecticut and moved to Florida in 2016. Kailee is married with furkids, including two cats, two dogs, and a snake. In 2011, Kailee graduated from Northwestern CT Community College with an Associate in Science Degree for Veterinary Technology and obtained her certification for Veterinary Technology. Kailee started work in the animal health industry at Pfizer, and started her career as a veterinary technician in 2013. She spends most of her free time cross stitching but also enjoys swimming, reading, and playing video games. Kailee’s love of animals started early, and her first job was working at a nature center to help care for injured and surrendered wildlife.
